John DeVore: I know I?m supposed to fear China. I?m just starting to wonder why

Here?s what I know about China: it has a population of seventy
bajillion, the regional cuisines are delicious, it's Asia's fastest-growing economy and I should be terrified of
it.

This fear of China is drawn from what little I read about the Middle
Kingdom, which is what fancy foreign policy experts call it. 

Some of what I know from these foreign policy experts I read on the Internet or see on television. These experts on other cultures all come off
like paranoid travel agents with bad attitudes.

Most of what I know about China comes from two great American pastimes
